Senior Project Manager / Programme Manager, Fintech, City of London

Day rate: £550-950 per day + possible end bonus. 9-12 month contract.

•          Our client is an innovator in the Fintech industry, providing small businesses and new ventures with a mobile banking experience that is both highly professional and individualised. Through their innovative app, the company provides a slick customer experience.

•          The company currently operates in the United Kingdom and some European markets, with plans to expand into international markets within the next two to three years. 

•          The company is owned by investors from the private equity industry.

The role:

•          A position is now available for an experienced Senior Project Manager / Programme Manager to join the company in order to develop and manage a portfolio of projects and programmes in order to capitalise on the company's success over the past three years and advance the business.

•          The Senior Project Manager / Programme Manager will lead a series of projects, including additional mobile app development, the introduction of additional customer enhancements, improved operating models for the staff, and enhanced governance and controls to support the business in a regulatory and expanding international market.

The person:

•          A Senior Project Manager or Programme Manager with several years of experience in project and programme management.

•          Ideally, experience in the Fintech sector or financial innovation

•          Must be a project or programme manager capable of driving innovation throughout multiple business functions.

•          A project manager or programme manager with experience of managing vendors, suppliers and technical teams, including developers & engineers

•          A project or programme manager with experience managing vendors, suppliers, and technical teams, including developers and engineers.

•          We seek a dynamic and charismatic individual, a skilful project manager / programme manager, able to assemble project and programme teams, along with PMO and related governance

IT Director, Insurance, London (City), £90k-£120k+ benefits

Our specialised motor insurance lines insurer in the City of London seeks an IT Director. The incoming IT Director will have a strong mandate for change, introducing innovative new technology and methods of working to a "traditional" insurance specialist.

The IT Director will be an integral member of the business's leadership team, initially tasked with developing an IT strategy and technology road map to support the company's ongoing expansion and the planned exit of a private equity investor/possible IPO process.

Currently, the IT function resides within the Finance Department. The IT Director will oversee the separation of IT from finance and into its own department, reporting directly to the CEO.

This change process will require IT teams to transition from disparate teams and third-party vendors to a unified, "one team" approach. The IT Director will oversee IT expenditures, budgets, and overall IT-business interactions.

Ideally our client seeks a very business focused Head of IT or IT Director who is confident and capable of engaging on wider business issues beyond just IT and technology, including articulating IT issues at boardroom and investor level. 

The ideal candidate for the position of IT Director would possess the following qualities:

·     Capable of serving as a technology evangelist as an IT Director without overwhelming or confusing non-technical decision makers.

·     Must have the ability to manage a multifunctional IT department, including development teams and Helpdesk operations.

·     Experience of insurance, insuretech, financial services or fintech would be an advantage. 

·     Regularly communicate at up to board level and understand business needs.

·     Present technical solutions to the business and be able to explain their impact and potential benefits.

•          In addition to managing IT and technical services, the IT Director must also be a true leader within the company.

The IT Director position is located in the London headquarters (City). The company has adopted a "agile" working environment, enabling remote work for the majority of employees, so this position can also be performed on a "hybrid" basis of 2/3 days at home and 1/3 days in the office.
